Welcome!

For 30 years, I created large outdoor sculpture of welded, painted steel in my East Hampton NY studio. I am grateful for that time and especially for the camaraderie of the local artist community. I have recently followed my dream and moved to the beautiful, bucolic North Fork of Long Island. I am inspired to paint by the serene open farmlands, vistas of big sky, and the vivid colors that offer new opportunities for exploration.

When I begin a piece, I don’t envision its conclusion. It is about the process: the journey of discovery as I work to convey emotion. Emotion influences whether the piece is hard-edged, black and white or soft, soothing colors and forms. It is the driving force.
